Linework DOWN!

The annual trip to Sekiu over the 4th of July was a blast... until the ride home. Linework DOWN!

As you can see the boat is no longer behind the camper, or on its trailer. The boat bounced off the hitch, the tongue of the trailer embedded itself in some soft dirt and the boat continued to travel an additional 75 ft.

We're not quite sure what happened, but in the end the total damage to the boat was incredibly minimal with some gel coat and bottom paint repair; the kicker motor didn't fair so well. The trailer didn't make it out so well with bent cross member, broken wench and broken front pillar.

Everyone was fine, no one was hurt. We were impressed by how many people stopped to help and how nice everyone was. A big thank you to Officer Nelson and to Bob and Zac Caine from Caine's Auto and Marine for their services. It looks like fishing will be on hold for a while until we get everything situated. I will be posting the rest of our vacation later this week, stay tuned for more photos.
